This has the classic Sumatra profile, with an earthy flavor and low acidity.
An excellent example of classic Sumatra coffee.

Q: Is this coffee also from the Pondok region? If not, what region is it from?
A: Yes, all Black Panther Sumatra is from the Pondok region.

Awesome!
Probably the best green beans I have bought anywhere any time. Great flavor.
Best
I can see that a reviewer said of this coffee, the best I've ever drank. I can also understand why someone would say that. Yeah it's that good.
Worst beans I've ever roasted
I've been roasting for years and Sumatra is among my favorites. This was terrible; what they describe as "earthy" tastes more like rough soil. I ended up throwing away the last 2/3 of a pound because I couldn't take any more.
AMAZING.
Smooth, dark, rich, non acidic coffee. So fresh and so good !!!!
Very good for a variety of roasts
I like the complexity of these beans -- their character changes dramatically with how you roast them. I've roasted from first cracking to a deep second crack, and enjoy it all. Also an interesting bean to blend together at different roast finishes. Only down side is that the beans don't roast evenly for lighter roasting finishes (because of size variation in the beans), but I'd still recommend these.
