Pros: The most popular recipe I've made yet!!

Stinky Dog Summer Ale

Review by 16th Ave. Brewhouse on 5/8/2010

Pros: The kit arrived quicky and in great shape. This kit dose not use grains for steeping, so the recipe came together quickly. Will be ready to drink in a shorter amount of time as it ferments and conditions in the primary, saving adittional steps in cleaning and transfering to a secondary. More to come when we bottle and kegs the rest...

summer ale

Review by bill f. on 5/8/2010

Pros: this was my first williams kit, and it could not have been better.I am returning to brewing after a 20 year absence(stupid me). The instructions were great, i followed them to the t. And the ale is superb, just ordered a second kit and will order a third before they become unavailable. This the perfect hot weather summer time ale, not too light, good hop character, carbonated just right

Cons: only available thru august

Summer goodness!

Review by Bradley R. on 9/3/2009

Pros: Tastes great! (Added orange peel into the wort) and gave it a great flavor! It's a great light beer, awesome color, excellent cold. **GETS BETTER WITH AGE!!!!** Find the will to let sit in the bottle for 30 days! You will thank me!!!

Cons: Did not make enough! Extremely carbonated (might have been due to the orange peels added), but the foam flows over the glass.

Be patient, it gets better

Pros: Like everyone says, "light, tastes great, good lawnmower/summer beer," but if you are patient enough to let it bottle condition it gets better. I learned a little too late, just a couple of bottles left at two months, but wow, it has a lot of character for such a light appearing beer at the 2-3 month stage. The Cascade and Hallertau hops really start to come out. I will get another before the last shipping date. Hope it becomes available early enough next spring to allow for some aging before the heat of the summer.

Cons: Not available all year, but I would not really drink it during the fall and winter- too many cold weather brews, so little time.
