Q: Regarding the internal O-ring, is it likely that that is something I can fix?

A: Yes, they can be taken apart and the large O ring cleaned and examined for tears. See this video for more: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-zVSJ7ROn9k&t=11s

Q: I have had one of these for years and like it but it seems like it wastes a lot of oxygen. I normally turn the tank valve on for just a second and the gas will flow out of the stone for 30 seconds or so. But the whole time, gas is also flowing out of a small vent hole near the barb. Is this normal?

A: That is not normal. It sounds like an internal O ring seal has failed.

Q: I'd like to connect the discharge from this regulator to a standard 5/16" I.D. vinyl gas tubing. What's the best way to do this? Thanks.

A: We have a 3/8" hose barb for this regulator but not a 5/16". This would be something you would have to fabricate.

Q: should this have a washer or o-ring for a proper seal?

A: No, this is a metal to metal seal. Make sure there are no burrs on the oxygen valve on your tank, and shut off the oxygen with the tank valve between uses.

Q: Hi, would this work with the common 1.4oz red oxygen cylinders found at hardware stores?

A: No, for the 1.4 oz. cylinders you would need our item Q11
