Q: What size thread is the barb attached to?

A: It is M7-1.0. You would need to teflon tape any aftermarket barb.

Q: Just bought the O2 regulator & tank of O2. I see the previous Q&A rec 1/8 LPM X 1 min for 5 gallons. Question: is that based on a measurement of dissolved O2 (or what)? Trying to be as scientific as possible. Science or not, its a cool device. Thanks.

A: The previous Q&A was based on achieving 4-5ppm oxygen in 5 gallons of wort. If you want to achieve the maximum 8 ppm of oxygen, use 1/2 LPM for 30 seconds in 5 gallons.

Q: How long would you run the oxygen at the rate you have suggested for 5 gallons of beer? 60 seconds?

A: We have found that even at 1/8 LPM, 60 seconds is more than enough time for 5 gallons of wort.
