This three gallon size is perfect for splitting batches or making small batches of wine. Unbreakable crystal clear PET plastic fermenter features thick PET walls that do not require ribs or texturing for strength. Easier to clean than ribbed fermenters, and easier to see through. BPA-free plastic, molded  in Canada. 9" wide, 15" tall (not including airlock and stopper).

This 3 gallon Fermonster features a 4" diameter O ring sealed lid for easy cleaning, that takes a #10 stopper and airlock (stopper and airlock not included, you will be given the opportunity to purchase these when you put this in your cart).  An optional solid lid is also available in case you want to use your Fermonster for storage, or want to drill your own holes.

Below is a video on installing the lid sealing O ring:

Ideal for small batch’s

The 3 gallon is ideal for a small batch wine kit. It’s easy to clean and very light weight compared to a 3 gallon glass carbon.

Big Mouth Fermonster

Review by Charlie on 4/19/2018

The three gallon Fermonster turned out to be very handy when doing a secondary. Cleaning was simple, no brushes just a soft cloth, and being able to reach inside was a big, big plus. One problem I had is with the lid gasket; it's a little tricky to install and removing it to clean might or will be a bigger problem, (get a spare gasket). A larger, thicker, flat gasket with tabs or notches in lid to help with removal would be great. Also be sure to (get the wrench) to remove the lid, the lid can be stubborn and it will stick on the jar. Even when filled the jar Is Not sturdy enough to be grabbing and squeezing when trying to loosen the lid, it's thin walled. One gentle tap on the wrench is all it takes. Being able to drop my hydrometer inside and measure the gravity really helped when it came time to back sweeten a cider. Overall i'm really happy with it, it's not perfect, but it works. Great price and shipping was on time.

Q: How much headspace is there after filling to 3 gallons?

A: 4" from the very top of the lip. Three gallons comes right up to the top shoulder of the bottle but does not fill the narrowing top neck.

Q: What is the height?

A: The fermenter with lid is 15" tall. With a stopper and airlock it is about 19.5 inches tall.
