Brass fitting features an inner gasket so teflon tape is not needed when threading onto male 1/2" pump and chiller fittings.
The male end is a hose quick disconnect, which is compatible with Melnor hose connects, as well as many other brands, including our KegLand Ball Lock Tubing Connector item L19.
This is a straight through always open fitting, and it does have not have poppet valve. This is not compatible with keg ball lock fittings, only with quick disconnect hose fittings as mentioned above.
