Good, not great yeast for Belgian Strong
Tart finish indeed! Was trying to knock off Belgian Gulden Draak. All elements there but this yeast lacked the sweeter finish, more dry, tart. Beer very quaffable served cold but dry, tart finish more harsh as beer warms up.
BOMM
Used it for Bray's one month mead Fantastic results First time for the smack pack Worked as described Glad I ordered two
Good stuff
Pros: Fermented real well. Beer looked great with the yeast flavor you'd expect in a Belgian ale
Cons: none
BELGIAN Ale Yeast
Pros: Very easy to use with execelent results. In very high gravity beers it finishes very clear and mild flavored. Better than White Labs or simular products.
Cons: None Noted excecpt limited shelf life and the required lead time.
