In order to keep your pH meter as accurate as possible, you will need to calibrate using pH buffer solutions. It is also a good idea if you haven't used your pH meter in a while to always use a buffer solution before you start your brew. This includes 4.0 and 7.0 buffer solution packs, the most popular ranges.
Directions for use:
1. Completely empty the powder into a clean 250mL (8 fluid ounce) glass beaker.
2. Add 250mL (8 fluid ounces) of distilled water to the beaker.
3. Stir until the powder has completely dissolved.
pH solution is accurate to (+/-) 0.01pH
Note: Although the packs says to use deionized water, we find that readily available distilled water is adequate. Distilled water is commonly sold at grocery stores.
